FIDA with GITA

Incorporating the Wisdom of The Bhagavad Gita in Modern Management

Preface

Following years of study and practice, and with the

guidance of esteemed mentors and spiritual scholars, it is an honor to introduce my doctorate thesis concept FIDA with GITA—Integrating the Wisdom and Spiritual philosophy from The Bhagavad Gita into Modern Organizational Development. Fusing the teachings into my FIDA Model (F: Focus, Fix, Forward, I: Information, Integrate, Improve, D: Dream, Design, Doing, A: Approve, Affirm, Appreciate) I have attempted to harness the infinite wisdom of our ancient scriptures and incorporate the same into our daily development in the personal sphere and in the workplace.

FIDA was developed many years ago but was focused only on the conscious external level.

I found it vague and felt the model incomplete, and did not want it to be just another self-development model. I wanted FIDA to impact deeper into the sub-conscious to begin the process of self-development from the inside out using brain-based coaching and positive psychology channels.

My childhood was spent at the feet of elders absorbing their countless tales from the great epics “The Ramayana and The Mahabharata”, and I realized there was something more profound behind these stories. As I grew older this nagging thought led me to seek answers from spiritual scholars in our temples. And there I was introduced to “The Bhagavad Gita”.

The more I understood the lessons in The Gita the further I realized that this was the missing link in my very own development model. And so I began the process of integrating certain philosophies of The GITA into my FIDA model and applied it to myself. The outcome was an internal revolution and clarity of thought with a clear focus on paths and action to work on.

FIDA was conceived as a business development model around 2015 and The GITA brought life into it around 2019. The model has been successfully applied in various courses and audiences such as student groups from primary and secondary levels up to graduate college , academics, start-ups, corporate management working to develop clear strategies and more.

This enabled me to put the FIDA with GITA approach to Modern Organizational Development into my thesis so the Wisdom of our ancient philosophies contained in our scriptures can be grasped and understood and applied to modern development models for self-improvements across all fronts from the inside out.

Come.. Let us embark on this most enlightening journey together…
